Driven by their mission to continue creating and delivering better communities across New Zealand, Woods recently announced that David Kidd will take on the role of CEO. In this role, David will be leading the Woods team and business operations to achieve its strategic ambitions.
As the first CEO of Woods, David will focus on achieving sustainability across the growth of the business, its operations and as a land and infrastructure development leader in New Zealand.
David Kidd has a history of helping businesses differentiate their brand reputation, enhance client experience, and create significant revenue growth and market share. Having spent 25 years in leadership roles in consultancy, professional and financial services both in New Zealand and overseas, David brings a depth of expertise in strategy, business development, marketing and operations. Before accepting his role at Woods, he spent five years on the Executive team at WSP in New Zealand as Director of Client Experience and Strategic Advisory. Before that, he was the General Manager of Marketing and Client Experience at BNZ.
"I'm really thrilled to be taking up the role of Chief Executive at Woods. It will be a privilege to lead this successful 50-year-old New Zealand business with its rich heritage, diverse talented team and long-standing client relationships built on a reputation for delivery," says Kidd.
In addition to protecting the culture and ethos of Woods, one of David’s first priorities will be working with the team, Board, clients and stakeholders to develop a compelling growth strategy and implement Woods’ five-year strategic plan. David has also set his sights on developing Woods’ tikanga and their capability to leverage Te Ao Maori principles in their work.
David will also strive to ensure the business can grow sustainably, in operations and for the betterment of New Zealand’s environment, all while building Woods’ reputation for developing thriving and inclusive communities where people can live, work and play.
