    GM Commercial & Operations

    Amy has a strong, cross-functional career history, working across, human resources, financial performance, operations, risk management, and analytics at organisations such as Auckland Council, Manukau District Health Board, and New Zealand Football.

    Amy prides herself as being an enabler, an influencer, and a boundary spanner – working on collaborations and projects, needing to bring skills and experience from different backgrounds together to work effectively, and using analytics and insights to drive decision-making, direction, and purpose.

    Brian Flood

    GM Major Projects Infrastructure / Director

    Brian has been an Associate of Woods since 2008 with 30 years of professional experience as a civil engineer. He has worked on a wide variety of master-planned developments and infrastructure projects throughout New Zealand, China, and Europe.

    He is frequently sought for complex multi-disciplinary projects.

    Brian specialises in the delivery of site and route selection for a range of infrastructure, energy, and utility projects, providing integrated design solutions and mitigation strategies in both urban and rural locations. He is also an experienced and recognised expert witness, presenting evidence before the council, the Environment Court, and the Board of Inquiry hearings.

    Senior Leadership & Board Support Executive

    Clare supports the senior leadership and the board with operational and administrative support. She is a very versatile member of Woods, having worked on multi-million dollar projects across New Zealand, where her skills in planning and executing strategies, systems, and processes are invaluable. She also coordinates, plans and manages strategic projects and provides critical administrative support when required.

  • Colin Dryland


    GM Engineering

    Colin leads a team that delivers all manner and scales of land development projects from conception to completion. With over 15 years of industry experience, he specialises in design and management of land development projects, road upgrades, and stormwater management systems, focusing on project delivery and cost control. Having qualifications and experience in both Architecture and Engineering, Colin is known for combining these disciplines and delivering the end-user outcomes that create environments where people love to live, work, and play.

    David Kidd


    David has over 25 years leadership experience in professional and financial services – both in New Zealand and overseas.  He has deep expertise in strategy, business development, marketing and operations – as well as working with diverse stakeholders to achieve shared objectives.  Known for being a creative and collaborative leader, David focuses on getting the best of out of people and delivering exceptional experiences for clients.

    David loves helping businesses to stand out and grow sustainably. He’s passionate about the critical role land and infrastructure development plays in creating inclusive sustainable communities where people can live, work and play.

    Prior to joining Woods, David was on the Executive of WSP New Zealand for five years as Director Client Experience and Strategic Advisory.

    A Kiwi citizen by choice, David has lived in New Zealand for over 20 years and has four kids aged 11 to 17.  Outside of work David’s interests reflect his Scottish/Kiwi heritage – golf, whisky and spending time in our beautiful Aotearoa.  David holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Political Studies from Leeds University, UK.

    GM Planning & Urban Design

    Emma brings a wealth of experience to her role, having worked in both the public and private sectors on a range of complex projects. Now, Emma continues to showcase her leadership skills by overseeing large-scale land development projects and leading the growth of her team.

    GM Surveying

    As a qualified surveyor, Kendall’s career has been diverse in both location and surveying discipline.  She began her career in 2010 with a focus on large-scale land development and was also a surveyor in the red zone in Christchurch during the management and recovery period of the Canterbury earthquakes.

    In 2014, she moved to London to work for survey manufacturer Leica Geosystems as a technical representative for market leading Total Stations, GPS and Laser Scanning equipment. Since moving to Auckland in 2016 she has refocused her career on large scale land development surveying, with her involvement and management of some of the largest residential developments in Auckland.

    Mark Cochran

    GM South Island / Director

    Responsible for Woods’ South Island operation, Mark is a surveyor and engineer with over 25 years of experience in the Land Development industry.

    He is renowned for his work on a broad spectrum of design, planning, and surveying projects (infrastructure, commercial and residential) for both public and private sector clients. Mark has led several small to large-scale land development projects and enjoys the challenge of delivering a quality finished product for our clients and the community.

    Mark Williams

    GM Major Projects Land Development / Director

    As a Director, Mark has a responsibility to do the right thing — for both Woods’ clients and staff.

    Since graduating in 1986, he has specialised in land development, an industry that has changed a great deal over the years.

    The most significant driver for Mark is that the work Woods undertakes results in places people want to live. So, to him, it is vital this ‘end game’ is always to the fore. Teaming this aspiration with the goals of a broad client base is a rewarding challenge that has kept Mark invigorated throughout his career.

    GM Data Products & Services

    Matt heads up our focus on new data-driven products and services that leverage Wood’s superior geospatial data capture capabilities.

    Prior to Woods, he built a track record of conceiving and launching successful digital products and services in the telco and media industries. His career has included roles in finance, corporate strategy, product management, technology, and project delivery.

    Outside of work, he loves to get off the grid and into nature and also participate in ultra-trail running events.

  • Pranil Wadan


    General Manager - Water Infrastructure & Planning

    A chartered professional engineer with over 15 years’ of experience, Pranil manages the Woods 3 Waters team. He is an expert in stormwater management, stormwater infrastructure design, flood modelling, flood hazard and overland flow-path assessments, He is often called on to provide expert evidence in the Environment Court and in Board of Inquires. His projects span the range of development scales and types including greenfield and brownfield sites, multi-unit housing, and commercial projects.

    Principal Planner

    With 25 years’ experience in planning, Euan brings a invaluable knowledge of planning legislation and practice, and has managed a broad range of residential, commercial, rural and infrastructure development projects for local government and private sector clients.

    He is responsible for leading the planning input on Woods’ large scale residential projects and has proven leadership skills and management of multi-disciplinary teams. Euan worked as an independent planning consultant and held team management positions in Auckland Council before joining Woods in 2016.

  • Hannah O_Kane


    Senior Planner

    Hannah is a Senior Planner with over 11 years experience in the planning industry. Hannah has worked in a range of organisations in New Zealand and overseas including residential and commercial land use and subdivision through to major infrastructure throughout the country.

    She is experienced in both the preparation and processing of notified and non-notified resource consent applications, iwi liaison, stakeholder consultation, environmental assessment, and project management for both public and private sector clients.

  • Jo Sunde


    Senior Planner

    Jo is a Senior Planner with over 13 years experience in the planning and property industry. Jo worked at a specialist planning consultancy for 10 years, where she was involved in the Auckland Rail Electrification project and Palmerston North Plaza shopping centre. Jo developed extensive experience in the resource management field working on behalf of land developers, commercial entities, the public sector, and iwi authorities.

    Jo has also worked as a contractor on behalf of Auckland Council processing resource consent applications and in the property industry as a development manager. Jo’s strength is in managing project teams; reliable and clear communication; establishing good working relationships with external parties; broad experience across a range of planning tools and approval processes; and turnover of accurate work to meet deadlines.

    Senior Planner

    Katie is a planner with ten years + experience across both the private and local government sector. Katie began her planning career at Auckland Council in 2012, and since joining Woods in 2015 has been involved in large-scale land development projects and a secondment to the Piritahi Alliance preparing resource consent applications for Kāinga Ora. Her experience has involved the lodgement and processing of a wide range of notified and non-notified resource consent applications to deliver network infrastructure, large-scale subdivisions, residential terraced and apartment units, early childcare centres and commercial activities.

    Architectural Lead Associate

    Sean is a Senior Urban and Architectural designer with over 13 years’ experience over a broad range of projects in New Zealand, Australia and Middle East. He has experience in both urban design and architectural projects, with abilities as a conceptual designer at both a master planning and detailed level. His ability to manage and systematic approach means better results that exceeds brief and expectation and creates strong financial returns.
