What are we looking for?
We're looking for a qualified Senior Planner to join our Planning & Urban Design team, working closely alongside the wider Woods Engineering, Survey and Geospatial teams. The role will focus on leading and supporting a range of projects. As an experienced planner, you will be assisting us in delivering some of New Zealand’s largest and most successful residential developments.

This role would suit someone with a consultancy background who is excited to assume responsibility for the management of small, medium and large  scale/complex planning projects, loves problem solving, project management, and mentoring our more junior planners.

What you will bring:

  • Consenting experience of land development projects with a background in private consultancy
  • 8-12+ years relevant professional experience
  • Strong understanding of the NZ planning framework
  • A working knowledge of district and regional plans
  • Ability to problem solve, and approach projects with a strategic mindset
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Proven written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Full NZPI membership
